Dear Lady,

In the words of Wesley, from The Princess Bride: As you wish.
Of course I never intend to turn what's an act of love from you into something from for our children. I may, however, admittedly, be a little over protective of you, your time, and your feelings. Which is never necessarily a good thing to be, because it requires a lot of inference on my part. Like Mr. Arrow in A Muppet Treasure Island:

Me: "You—you were responsible for swabbing the deck. Fifty lashes and then you walk the plank"
You (as Captain Smollet): "Um, I didn't say that Mr. Arrow."
Me: "Of course. I was anticipating your whim, sir."

So I apologize for sabotaging your act of love. That was not my intention.
You're a great mother. I hope my stumblings don't veil that from our children.
