No naps today. Those crazy boys. They did everything in their bed except for sleep. Read books, wrestled, threw all pillows and blankets on the ground, jumped, talked, made undecipherable noises, did some pretend play (not sure what they were pretending), came out a thousand times, got into "things" in the gray room, went to the bathroom a few times each. And then my grandma stopped by and the boys decided that signified the end of naps. At least they had fun I guess. It's hard to be upset with them anyway because they just make me laugh. When Nolan came out the final time, he had wrapped himself in a blanket so as to be invisible. Gerret demurely slunk out with his wry little smirk smudged across his face and those deep dark eyes begging for forgiveness. Nope I just can't be too upset with them. They're my little treasures whether or not they take a nap.
I've really been enjoying staying at my parents' house. It's kind of like a little vacation with lots of projects. And I like projects. So long as I don't feel pressured to do them. Or something. Maybe just stuck doing them. I like to feel like I have options or choices to make.
Of course vacations without projects are also nice. Especially when they're spent with you. And the involvement of salty air and oceanic waves is nice too.
Love,
Your Lady
