Dear Boy,

Thanks for inviting me to the organ concert.  I really enjoyed it.  Thanks for the new boots.  They fit my style and needs quite perfectly.  Thanks for making eggs this morning.  They were delicious and actually 2/3 of our kids enjoyed them which is somewhat of a morning miracle.

So I look forward to the idea of living in Virginia with you and being homesteaders.  Is that what you still think you want to do?  I will follow you anywhere, but I'm more anxious to go somewhere with a more definite plan the next time we move.  I think it would be wonderful to do small scale farming and to do it somewhere warmer.  (And closer to the ocean?)

Dear Adventure,

It seems i cannot have moments of thought that don't, ultimately, lead me to you. The very idea of adventure has you caught up in it entirely.
i can't imagine a true adventure without you.
i'm sitting in Sage Chapel right now and an organist just finished up. i know you have no taste for the organ, but it is one of the more amazing musical experiences to sit in a chapel and feel the organ as it plays. There is something about the power of those great pipes, and the way everything seems to shake with the same notes—like we all: instrument, building, air, and myself are sharing the true FEELING of the music.
i experienced it a few times in France and it's a sensation that stays with you.
Anyway, i mention this because they hold concerts in the chapel here and i would love to bring you up to one sometime. Game?
