Dear friend,

You know how most days it seems like we don't get much time together? Well, we don't. This is probably the point i am least happy about in life. i understand that we will have an eternity together (if we live up to our covenants), but when you consider that we always talk about preparing for eternity now, it seems we should be practicing spending an eternity together by spending more time together here and now. Doesn't that make sense?
i know i've said this a lot (and meant it every time), but i would really like to work in something that allows me more time with you. Even if it weren't a family business, just more time at home or with you, i would at last be satisfied. i have thought about this from the moment i stepped away from film for the first time. i just want time with you. Time to work together. To talk together. To laugh together (you can't know what a lift it is to my heart to hear you laughing). i have wanted this for so long and yet i don't know that i'm any closer to figuring it out. Any ideas? i know the things that i enjoy, but how to live off of them i'm not sure. Sometimes i feel like i'm not making any progress because i'm a ship holding my mooring to the dock. We make decent money. Have decent benefits. A beautiful home and a wonderful family. As much as i want to improve and move on, perhaps i am too afraid of losing the comfort we already have to do any better.
In any case, i love you. You are my adventure. Every escapade is magnified when you're along for the ride.

From your friend.
